The Securities and Exchange Commission will hold an open meeting on October 13, 2023 to consider various matters, including whether to adopt final rules under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 that would require securities lenders to provide information about the terms of securities lending transactions to a registered national securities association. The SEC also will consider whether to adopt a final rule in order to increase the public availability of short sale information and propose amendments to require changes to the national market system plan governing the consolidated audit trail to require CAT reporting firm to indicate whether it is relying on the Reg SHO bona fide market making exception.
